I talk a lot about brand strategy because it’s something I’m passionate about! It’s easy for me to forget that not everyone even knows what the heck that is or why it would be exciting enough to make me go on and on about it endlessly! If you’ve been seeing phrases like “brand strategy” and “dream clients” and thought, “hmm, that sounds great, but what does it all mean??” I’ve got you covered!
First things first, a brand strategy helps us discover who you are, what matters to you, why it matters, who you help, how you help, and what sets you apart from others in your field.
You know your business best, so it would be silly of me to take a look, size you up, and then decide all of these things for myself. Brand strategy is a collaboration. It begins with us taking a deep dive into your brand. I guide you on a discovery path and you do a lot of thinking and writing at first. During the initial “discovery” phase you spend a lot of time lookward inward and it looks like you doing a big portion of the heavy lifting. Then comes the strategy. I learn everything there is about your business based on what you’ve shared, plus some of my own research and then I take the lead and spend a lot of time distilling the information into kind of like a manual for your brand or a roadmap.
Brand strategy is kind of like a relay race and i’m your anchor 😉 Once I tag in, it’s my turn to do a lot of the thinking and reading and writing and bring it on home!
Brand strategy isn’t just what color palette you should be using, but that is part of it. It covers everything from who your people are to how to overcome buyer hesitation for your dream client. It should help you understand your voice, and what things to communicate to your audience. It also helps you have a clear picture of how to communicate visually. What colors and fonts best express your brand’s voice and heart and speak to your people.
Every brand has a unique voice and personality! Brand strategy helps us uncover what that personality is so we can effectively communicate it to the people that matter. It is a powerful tool that can help you deeply understand your brand and your audience. In other words, it helps us find and share your brand’s magic!
